Scope of the Position – Key Accountabilities

  • Have a thorough understanding of brand management and be able to maintain consistency of brand tone, voice, and visual identity across all channels.
  • Develop various marketing materials, presentations, case studies, and promotional content.
  • Collaborate with an external agency to ensure the website is always up to date.
  • Create company literature, business cards, promotional banners.
  • Responsible for the creation and stock management of promotional merchandise.

Digital Marketing and Social Media

  • Collaborate closely with our external digital marketing team on SEO, SEM, paid advertising (Google, Meta, LinkedIn), and campaign execution.
  • Manage day-to-day social media activity and support the creation of engaging content for digital channels.
  • Ability to create quarterly and yearly marketing reports.
  • Create social media and website content – photography and video editing skills are a bonus.
  • Keep contact lists up to date.

Internal Communications

  • Develop and deliver internal communications that keep employees informed and engaged.
  • Support change initiatives, culture-building campaigns, and employee experience programs.
  • Draft internal announcements, newsletters, and leadership messaging.
  • Administration of employee recognition programs.
  • SharePoint/company message board admin.
  • Support the Reconciliation Action Plan Working Group.
  • General communications support for the HR team.
  • Undertake any other duties as reasonably directed by work supervisors.

Event Management

  • Plan and coordinate internal events such as employee morning teas, charity fundraisers, awareness days, and culture-building initiatives.
  • Organise and manage external events including community fairs, expos, trade shows, sponsorship activations, and public engagement opportunities.
  • Liaise with venues, suppliers, stakeholders, and community partners to deliver successful events.
  • Promote events through integrated campaigns and post-event reporting.

Scope of Position – Key Outcomes

  • Safety leadership, which includes the modelling of appropriate behaviours and adherence to the Company’s, and where appropriate the Client’s, HSE Management System(s). This will lead to zero HSE incidents occurring to people within REMA TIP TOP.
  • Adherence to the company’s Quality Management System by maintaining high quality and level of records and documentation; and actively reporting non-conformances, complaints, and adverse incidents. This will lead to the incumbent being proactive in optimising the service delivery, client retention and growth for the business.
  • Effective communication, including the building and maintaining of relationships, with external and internal stakeholders. This will lead to the incumbent being proactive in managing stakeholder expectations and business improvements.
  • Strategic decision making and planning that supports the interests of the Company. This will ensure that the incumbent remains agile and realises new opportunities for the company.
  • Compliance with applicable governance requirements. This will lead to the Company being protected from actionable breaches of applicable laws and timely completion of reporting requirements to relevant statutory bodies.
  • Responsible for undertaking work practices in line with documented procedures, instructions, and ITPs to ensure that the service process integrity is maintained.
  • Responsible for working as directed by the Work Supervisor.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or equivalent
  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar role
  • Able to use Canva, MailChimp and social media platforms
  • Exposure to digital and direct response marketing
  • Strong copywriting and communication skills
  • Demonstrable communication, computer literacy and relationship building skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • An attention to detail
  • Some travel is required for industry events and tradeshows

Desirable

  • Experience within the mining, heavy industrial, service industry
  • Photography and video editing skills

The Marketing and Communications Coordinator is responsible for REMA TIP TOP’s internal communication strategy and supporting the Senior Marketing Manager in executing external marketing campaigns. This role is perfect for a proactive and creative individual, looking to grow and expand in the marketing field.
