{"id":20010,"date":"2025-10-15T16:05:07","date_gmt":"2025-10-15T14:05:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rema-tiptop.de\/?post_type=career&#038;p=20010"},"modified":"2025-10-15T16:05:07","modified_gmt":"2025-10-15T14:05:07","slug":"accountant","status":"publish","type":"career","link":"https:\/\/rema-tiptop.de\/en\/career\/accountant\/","title":{"rendered":"Accountant"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><strong>General Accounting<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform day-to-day general accounting functions, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain accurate and timely general ledger records in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to support management decision-making.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with and support group reporting requirements, ensuring timely submission of consolidated financial reports.<\/li>\n<li>Perform intercompany reconciliations across subsidiaries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.<\/li>\n<li>Process and record intercompany transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.<\/li>\n<li>Execute intercompany eliminations as part of the month-end and consolidation process.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in preparation of management reports, variance analyses, and supporting schedules for internal and external stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Support the audit process by providing documentation and explanations to external and internal auditors.<\/li>\n<li>Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to strengthening internal controls.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with finance teams across business units to ensure consistency and accuracy in reporting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Accounts Payable<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Set up vendors, update and maintain vendor information in ERP system.<\/li>\n<li>Process invoices, payments (checks or electronic payments) in ERP system, file, and input data into electronic databases.<\/li>\n<li>Review and process employee expense reports weekly.<\/li>\n<li>Provide financial analysis and prepare reports; complete special projects.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with month-end and year-end closing, and yearly inventory.<\/li>\n<li>Correct errors by posting adjustments to journal entries.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain accounting controls by following policies and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Comply with federal, state and local financial legal requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and mail yearend 1099 tax forms to product and service vendors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Competencies<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively and professionally with management, colleagues and vendors.<\/li>\n<li>Accuracy; detail oriented; strong organization, analytical and problem-solving skills.<\/li>\n<li>Displays a positive can-do attitude; works well independently and in a team environment.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.<\/li>\n<li>Strong work ethic, works with integrity, respect, accountability and excellence.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work with sensitive information with discretion, professionalism and adherence to ethical conduct.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Accounting or equivalent.<\/li>\n<li>5+ years of accounting experience, ideally within a corporate or multi-entity environment.<\/li>\n<li>Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and consolidation processes.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with group reporting and preparation of consolidated financial statements.<\/li>\n<li>Hands-on experience with intercompany reconciliations and eliminations.<\/li>\n<li>Business Central experience preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in MS Office.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Job Summary<\/h3>\n<p>This role is responsible for performing a variety of accounting functions, including maintaining the accuracy of financial records, group reporting and accounts payable; invoice processing and vendor management.
