{"id":20013,"date":"2025-10-15T16:05:06","date_gmt":"2025-10-15T14:05:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rema-tiptop.de\/?post_type=career&#038;p=20013"},"modified":"2025-10-15T16:05:06","modified_gmt":"2025-10-15T14:05:06","slug":"cost-accountant","status":"publish","type":"career","link":"https:\/\/rema-tiptop.de\/en\/career\/cost-accountant\/","title":{"rendered":"Cost Accountant"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Analyze manufacturing costs, including labor, materials, and overhead.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain standard cost systems and update as necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports and variance analyses.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor inventory transactions and assist with periodic physical inventory counts.<\/li>\n<li>Support budgeting and forecasting processes with detailed cost data.<\/li>\n<li>Work with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, purchasing, production, sales) to improve cost control measures and provide analytical support.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain financial models to support cost projections, profitability analysis, and scenario planning.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with internal and external audits related to inventory and costing.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.<\/li>\n<li>Light domestic travel.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Competencies<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, GAAP, and standard costing systems<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in ERP\/accounting systems and advanced Excel<\/li>\n<li>Analytical and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication and collaboration skills across departments<\/li>\n<li>High integrity, organization, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field<\/li>\n<li>3\u20135 years of cost accounting or financial analysis experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, standard costing, inventory accounting and variance analysis<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency with ERP\/accounting systems (Business Central) and advanced Excel skills<\/li>\n<li>Experience with inventory management, bills of materials, and production cost tracking<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with GAAP and internal control practices<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data, prepare reports, and present findings to management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Job Summary<\/h3>\n<p>The Cost Accountant will be responsible for analyzing production, operational, and sales, preparing cost reports, and providing actionable insights to support decision-making.
